Responding to the opportunities of AI

The EU High–Level Expert Group on Artificial Intelligence (AI HLEG) has as a general objective to support the implementation of the European Strategy on Artificial Intelligence. This includes the elaboration of recommendations on future–related policy development and on ethical, legal and societal issues related to AI, including socio–economic challenges.

The Group’s Ethics Guidelines on Artificial Intelligence: The Guidelines put forward a human–centric approach on AI and list 7 key requirements that AI systems should meet in order to be trustworthy.

These requirements will go through a piloting process expected to conclude with the presentation of a revised document in early 2020.
